WHAT IS Meloxi Shot?
Meloxi Shot is a popular medication in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other chronic conditions that cause pain due to swelling in the joints. It is used in animals suffering from haemorrhagic gastrointestinal disorders, impaired hepatic, cardiac or
renal function and haemorrhagic disorders, or where there is evidence of individual hypersensitivity to the product is contraindicated. Concurrent administration with glucocorticosteroids, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with anti-coagulant agents is contraindicated and should be used with caution in conjunction with other highly protein bound drugs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Meloxi Shot in general work by reducing the body’s inflammation response, which is part of what causes pain from injury or illness. By reducing inflammation, pain, fever, and other symptoms are reduced enough for the person to function at a normal level.
Meloxi shot blocks the enzymes that create prostaglandins, which are lipids involved in the body’s response to perceived injury, leading to inflammation and blood clotting around the wound site. Problems with prostaglandin production can lead to chronic pain issues like arthritis.

It increases the negative effect of cyclosporine on kidney function, while reducing the impact of furosemide (Lasix) and thiazide diuretics. Active constituent Meloxicam 20mg/ml.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Use 3ml per 100kgs for horses and camels. Can be administered intravenously or subcutaneously. Must be treated by licensed or registered veterinarian
Should be stored in an air conditioned environment and kept below 25°C. Once opened, Meloxi Shot must be used within 28 days.
